Job Description

We are hiring Site Supervisor in the civil engineering industry is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a construction site. The role is focused on ensuring that the construction work is carried out safely, on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Civil Site Supervisor:

  • Site Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the site, ensuring work is progressing as per schedule.
  • Supervise construction activities, ensuring that they are in line with the project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure all workers on site follow health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Manage site-specific risk assessments and safety plans.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Act as the point of contact between the client, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other trades or departments to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
  • Quality Control:
  • Monitor construction work to ensure that it meets quality standards.
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and final output to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including labor, machinery, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Order and track materials required for construction, ensuring they arrive on time.
  • Reporting:
  • Maintain daily logs of site activities, including work progress, workforce numbers, and any incidents or delays.
  • Provide regular reports to the project manager or client on the progress of work, issues, and any potential delays.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site, such as delays, resource shortages, or safety concerns.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure that the site adheres to all local building codes, environmental regulations, and legal requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
