Job Description
Civil Engineer (Weighbridge/Truck Scale)
Location: Coimbatore (100% Travel to Site Locations as Required)
Age: Below 35 Years (Male Only)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to assess the suitability of locations for weighbridge/truck scale installations.
- Perform detailed surveys to gather data related to soil conditions, infrastructure, topography, load distribution, and weight limits.
- Identify potential challenges or risks (e.g., soil instability, inadequate infrastructure) that may impact the installation process.
- Measure and document key parameters of the site, including dimensions, elevations, and accessibility, for design and planning purposes.
- Work closely with the client’s engineering team to understand specific requirements and constraints related to the installation.
- Provide feedback to the client regarding site conditions, safety considerations, and any potential concerns or limitations.
- Assess load distribution factors to ensure that the installation site can bear the operational loads without compromising structural integrity.
- Conduct safety assessments at the site and identify any potential hazards related to the installation process.
- Accurately measure and document all relevant site dimensions, elevations, and clearances for the design team to use in their planning.
- Maintain detailed records of site surveys, measurements, risk assessments, and communications with clients.
- Work in close collaboration with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure smooth integration of all components during the weighbridge/truck scale installation.
- Advise on the use of appropriate materials (e.g., concrete, steel) based on site conditions and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all site surveys, communications, assessments, and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering).
- 2-3 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically related to site assessments, foundation design, and weighbridge/truck scale installations.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical and environmental factors affecting weighbridge/truck scale installations. Knowledge in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, or similar).
- Familiarity with local zoning regulations and environmental compliance related to infrastructure projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills for interacting with contractors, clients, and cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
